Kelsey, it´s time to say goodbye!!

It is time to say goodbye to Kelsey, the language assistant at school.

This school year was difficult for us all but in the end...We did IT!!!

We couldn´t listen properly to her because of the mask and we could hardly recognize her. It was only during videoconferences or recordings that we got to see her face and listen to her English pronunciation properly.

She couldn´t visit any places in Asturias or in Spain ( What a pity!!) and that´s why the school bought her a book to enjoy our beautiful "tierrina". May be she can come back one day.

We hope she keeps nice memories of this very especial school year too!!

This tongue twister has a story behind..do you want to know it? Here it goes!!

Year 6.- Pop stars by Kelsey

 Listen to Kelsey here!!

Hi there, Ariana and Gaga! I heard that you walked along the beach yesterday. How was the weather?

(Song– Rain on Me)

Ariana Grande & Lady Gaga:     Yes, we did go for a walk yesterday. The weather was awful! It rained the whole time. We’d rather be dry, but at least we’re alive! How about you, Ed? Did you walk in the rain?

(Song– Afterglow)

Ed Sheeran:             The weather was warmer for me. I enjoyed the afterglow of the sun! It meant I could go swimming at the pool. Then I bought some food at the supermarket. It was too warm to go for a walk, though. Did you buy anything, Sam?

(Song– Diamonds)

Sam Smith:   Yes, I did. I bought a ring, a necklace, and three pairs of earrings – all made of diamonds! Then I visited my friends from BTS at a restaurant…in fact, here they come now! Hello, everyone! Did you enjoy your food, Jungkook?

(Song– Dynamite)

Jungkook:     Yes, it was dynamite! I loved the spaghetti Bolognese. Did you like your meal, Jin?

Jin:                  Oh no, mine was horrible! I had a pizza but it was cold and slimy. I’m happy that you liked your meal at least. How about you, Jimin?

Jimin:             Yeah, my meal was great. I had a good time this weekend. Speaking of– hello, The Weeknd! How was your… Saturday?

(Song – Blinding Lights)

The Weeknd:          Not good. I stayed inside all weekend because the blinding lights gave me a headache. I hope you felt better than me, Dua.

(Song – Levitatin’)

Dua Lipa:      I went to all the discos and clubs. It was so much fun! I spent a lot of time dancing. I felt like I was flying… or levitating! Get well soon, The Weeknd!

We are very lucky this year!!

We are having actual candy canes and crackers!! Kelsey´s mum sent some of them and we are using them in the lessons to learn about Christmas traditions in the U.K.

11 - 11 - 11 REMEMBRANCE DAY

The language assistant is a cultural ambassador in our school.

This week is Remembrance Day in the UK and in many countries around the world too.

We learnt about that and we made paper poppies to wear on the 11-11.

It was a little bit of History, English, Arts & Crafts and a lot of emotions.
